What is ValidatedEmail.com?
ValidatedEmail.com is a service which allows owners of e-mail addresses and Internet Marketers to easily prove or verify that an e-mail address is real, active and well maintained.

Our goals are:

Protect email address owners from abuse - since owners must confirm the validation of their address, noone else can use their address in an unauthorized manner.
Protect Internet marketers - addresses submitted to them have been previously verified; SPAM complaints are eliminated.
Provide an effective tool to Marketing Websites and Independent Internet marketers - no need to implement complex verification schemes, or to respond to numerous verification requests.
Help reduce wasted Internet bandwidth - mail servers do not receive messages to non-existent addresses.

Who Uses ValidatedEmail.com?

Independent Internet marketers who need to submit their contact address(es) to marketing sites. ValidatedEmail.com provides an easy method to prove their ownership of address(es).
Marketing Websites (FFAs, Search Engines, etc...) who need to have correct, valid addresses from their users, and want to protect themselves against SPAM complaints.

How Does ValidatedEmail.com Work?

For Internet Users: users add their address to ValidatedEmail.com, which they must validate by responding to the message sent to that address.
For Marketing Websites: these sites query our system to verify if an address given to them has previously been validated on ValidatedEmail.com, to determine if it should be accepted (they do not have access to addresses).

Message Mailing Policy

ValidatedEmail.com does not send UCE messages, does not send marketing material on behalf of third parties nor does ValidatedEmail.com manage any subscription or mailing lists for third parties; if the owner of an address believes it has been used in an unauthorized manner by a third party, the address in question can be permanently banned from being used on ValidatedEmail.com. Such abuse should be reported to us so that we can take appropriate action against the abusing party.
ValidatedEmail.com will send weekly revalidation requests to addresses that have been previously validated on the system. These revalidation requests can be ignored if the owner wishes to have the address marked as 'not validated' by the system. If the owner wishes to keep the address validated, he/she must respond to the request. Addresses that are no longer marked as validated are removed from the system after 2 days.
Marketing Websites that make use of ValidatedEmail.com (Partners) act independently of ValidatedEmail.com. Partners have their own policies regarding their mailing practices. ValidatedEmail.com does not and cannot control the behavior of the Partners.
ValidatedEmail.com does not maintain any list or database for the Partners, nor does it provide to the Partners any address(es) in its database.
Retention of addresses submitted to the Partners by their owner(s) is determined by the Partners themselves; ValidatedEmail.com does not and cannot enforce removal of addresses that have become 'not validated' in its system upon the Partners.
Complaints of UCE or SPAM from address owners that have knowingly validated and provided their address(es) to ValidatedEmail.com and/or the Partners will result in their address(es) banned. While we do not support SPAM, we also do not tolerate abuse of this system! Users of this system accusing ValidatedEmail.com and/or the Partners of SPAM/UCE will not be tolerated.
